Crafted in 9ct Rose Gold and weighing a substantial 49 grams, the chain features the classic trombone link design that combines elongated open links with smaller connecting links to create a distinctive rhythm along its length. At approximately 5mm wide, the links have plenty of presence while retaining the elegant, refined proportions associated with traditional Albert chains. These links are individually stamped which is a detail we absolutely love to see on antique Alberts and one that speaks to the quality of its construction.
One end is fitted with a traditional swivel clasp, while the opposite end is fitted with a bolt ring. Completing the chain is a removable T-bar, suspended from a short drop of links. The T-bar hangs approximately 1.5 inches below the main chain, creating that unmistakable Albert-chain look when worn around the neck.
At 16 inches long, this is a brilliant necklace length. It sits relatively close to the base of the neck, allowing the T-bar to fall beautifully below and become the focal point. Wear it exactly as it is, attach a favourite antique fob or pendant, or remove the T-bar altogether for a cleaner trombone-chain look. The swivel and bolt ring also give plenty of scope for adding charms and other antique treasures.
