9ct Gold Polo Mallet Brooch with Ruby & Diamond Horseshoe (Higher Resolution Photos)
A gorgeous Polo Mallet Brooch crafted from 9ct Yellow Gold.
The brooch features a ruby and diamond horseshoe in the centre. The rubies and diamonds alternate and are secured in a claw setting.
This brooch was was made by Boodle and Dunthorne in Liverpool who were founded in 1798 and have subsequently become known as Boodles. The Liverpool store is still where all of the Boodles jewellery is manufactured and designed and here we have an original.
Boodles specialise in bespoke jewellery and are probably most recognised for their Boodles Raindance Ring. They are popular among many famous faces and host exhibitions and charity balls every year.
This is a wonderful opportunity to acquire a piece of the Boodles history is lucky enoigh to come with its orhinal box.
It measures 48mm in length and weighs 3 grams. There are no markings but it tests as 9ct Gold on an XRF Analyser.
