Crafted in 9ct Yellow Gold (tested via XRF), the bracelet is composed of a series of finely worked oval filigree panels, each intricately formed with scrolling wirework and granulated detail. Filigree jewellery is created by twisting and soldering fine threads of gold into lace-like patterns, a technique prized for centuries for its lightness and exceptional craftsmanship.
Each panel is centred with either a rich blue sapphire or a bright diamond, set within geometric lozenge-shaped mounts, creating a beautiful alternating rhythm of colour and sparkle. The gemstones add both contrast and refinement, typical of late Victorian to early Edwardian taste, where elegance and detail were paramount.
