Antique 9ct Rose Gold Double Row Blecher Albert Chain (Higher Resolution Photos)
An exceptionally unusual Antique 9ct Rose Gold Double Albert chain, combining an extraordinary 31-inch length with beautiful double Belcher links, decorative connector sections and traditional Albert fittings.
The chain is formed from two rows of beautifully proportioned 3.3mm Belcher links, creating plenty of presence while still retaining an elegant, refined appearance. The double strands are punctuated by fabulous decorative connector sections, adding another layer of detail and giving the chain a particularly distinctive Victorian feel.
At approximately 31 inches, it is dramatically longer than the majority of antique Albert chains and has the wonderful drape traditionally associated with a long guard chain, while retaining the distinctive fittings and construction of an Albert.
At the front is a traditional swivel attachment, from which the T-bar can be suspended. The complete attachment creates an additional drop of approximately 2.5 inches, finishing with a substantial 38mm T-bar. This T-bar can be removed using the swivel making this an incredibly versatile antique chain. It looks fabulous worn exactly as photographed, with the long T-bar drop creating a striking focal point, but removing it gives the piece an entirely different look. The swivel can also be used to display a favourite antique fob, pendant or charm.
Its impressive 31-inch length opens up even more styling possibilities. It can be worn long and elegant as a statement necklace, layered with shorter antique chains, or styled with the Albert fittings prominently displayed at the front. The combination of a long guard-style silhouette and traditional Albert detailing makes it particularly interesting for someone looking for something beyond the more commonly found 15–18 inch Albert chains.
