Cornelian Engraved Fob Pendant (Higher Resolution Photos)

A beautifully engraved cornelian fob pendant featuring a turtle. Potentially used as a seal to represent the slow moving post of old. This would have traditionally been worn on the waist and used to stamp letters and postcards. An expensive process today! The fob is 25mm high and the cornelian measures 15mm by 13mm. Can be worn on a necklace or as a charm. A lovely piece!
