15ct Antique Brooch with Old Cut Diamonds (Higher Resolution Photos)

The most wonderfully preserved antique and diamond brooch with fabulous detail and a glorious patina. The brooch was originally produced by Henry Griffiths & Sons and was hallmarked in Chester, unfortunately we cannot make out the date. Measuring 5cm in length with with seven magnificent hand cut diamonds graduated to match the shape of the brooch. It is a fine example of the late Victorian 'Castellani' style wirework, its inspiration the historic Etruscan jewels found in the tombs of Italy in the 1820s.
