This chain features Fetter links that measure 9mm at their widest point, these links have a distinctive appearance that resemble shackles. The elongated links are separated by smaller links that resemble handcuffs which are joined together.

The elongated links are stamped '375' for 9ct Gold and are also stamped with the Makers Mark 'CDB' for Charles Daniel Broughton who was registered in 1894. They had premises in St Paul's Square, Birmingham.
