18ct Gold & Diamond Guitar Brooch

You could not help but be stunned at the craftsmenship of this brooch. The design is simple yet so intricate you'll find yourself constantly examining its beauty. Produced in London by the Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Company Ltd (who at the time were by appointment to H.M The King) the guitar strings move when plucked and (if you're skilled enough and have teeny tiny fingers) may even play! The hollow body is set with a border of old rose cut diamonds. The condition is excellent the only notable defect being a filing mark on the back - probably used to test the material at some point in the 1980's. Although disappointing were only delighted this item was saved from the furnace, unlike so many others. Probably dating back to the early 1900s this brooch will never get old. It's one of our favourite pieces. The brooch measures 50mm by 15mm at its widest point and weighs 8.3 grams. Originally boxed.
