The brooch features a ruby and diamond horseshoe in the centre. The rubies and diamonds alternate and are secured in a claw setting.
This brooch was was made by Boodle and Dunthorne in Liverpool who were founded in 1798 and have subsequently become known as Boodles. The Liverpool store is still where all of the Boodles jewellery is manufactured and designed and here we have an original.
